Lisa McLymont

Lisa McLymont is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, teacher, entrepreneur, and passionate community arts volunteer.  Lisa is active in the Columbus arts scene and is involved with other art organizations such as 400 West Rich, The Ohio Art League, Wonderland and CAW (The Creative Arts of Women).  Lisa serves as the Marketing Chair on the board for the Ohio Art League, and was a recipient of a 2010 OSU Arts Initiative Fellowship. 

Lisa's subjects of interest center on visual harmonies, textures, and natural imagery. She utilizes varied materials and methods and is often known to incorporate copper wire and found materials onto canvas or wood panel. The Ode series, currently on display at Fort Hayes Shot Tower, is a meditation on the challenges that women of color experience in life, and a celebration of the beauty, strength and perseverance found in their hearts.
