DANCE AFRICA

Presented by King Arts Complex
10/1/2009 - 2/21/2010
Dance Africa embodies tradition, but also a spirit of change and growth reaching back into the past and forward into the future, embracing the links between cultures across the African Diaspora, always bearing the message, "Peace, love, and respect for everybody!"

Dr. Charles "Chuck" Davis, founder and Artistic Director of the African American Dance Ensemble and the New York based DanceAfrica will perform magic with dancers and rhythms deeply rooted in the traditions of Africa! DanceAfrica debuted in the spring of 1978 with a day-long African bazaar. Keerping with tradition, the King Arts Complex will offer an African bazaar, and showcase troupes based both in Africa and the African Diaspora with style from indegenous African to urban American hip hop.
