This Is Your Life-The Holocaust

These episodes from This is Your Life feature three exceptional women who survived the Holocaust.

One of American television's most fondly remembered programs, This Is Your Life, presented tributes to hundreds of notable guests during its run from 1952 to 1961. Along with many celebrities, the program also featured "regular" people who typically had overcome tremendous obstacles in life.

These episodes addressed the Holocaust at a time when it was still a very fresh memory. The three women featured are Hanna Bloch Kohner, the first survivor to share her story on television and Julie Kohner's mother; actress Ilse Stanley, who effected the release of hundreds of people from Nazi concentration camps before she was forced to leave Germany; and Sara Veffer, who spent 18 months hiding with her family in an Amsterdam attic.
