Dancing on the SLOWDOWN

NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
IN FACT, IT'S REALLY COOL WHEN FOLKS SHOW UP AND HAVEN'T EVER HAD A DANCE CLASS. LOVE TO MIX IT UP AND HONOR WHAT EACH PERSON BRINGS TO THE EXPERIENCE.

Class Description: Using improvisation to respond to verbal prompts and movement directives, participants explore the range, texture, style and reasons that they move, at a slow and simple pace. Students are asked to literally SLOW DOWN in order to mine their unique physical imaginations while observing, listening, seeing and discovering their own mechanical habits, stylistic ranges, motoring sources and areas for growth. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NEEDED but appropriate for dance students & professionals who want to take time to go deeper into their current movement practices

$10/class (cash or check please)
drop-ins welcome

dress comfortably in loose clothing
soft soled shoes permitted on dance floor
socks are cool too
you can even go barefoot .....
