Special Olympics Central Ohio Polar Plunge

It is officially Polar Plunge time in Ohio! We will kick off the plunge season on January 21 and continue through March 10, 2012. We hope to have even more plungers for the 2012 Plunge season. So get your friends and family together for a plunge in your community and go "Freezin' For A Reason" to support Special Olympics Ohio.

For the second year the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium will host the Central Ohio Polar Plunge. Plungers will be jumping into a super sized swimming pool near the Polar Bear Exhibit. Be a part of the only plunge that involves real, live polar bears! Plungers are asked to raise a minimum of $75 to participate. High school and college students can participate by raising $50. We encourage team fundraising, but please make sure that each plunger has at least the minimum donation at check-in. Guests will be charged a $10 zoo entry fee, which includes entry to the Post Plunge Party and the zoo. All proceeds from these this event directly support and benefit Special Olympics Ohio.
