Don-t Be Nice, Be Real: Living and communicating authentically
Presented by Compassionate Communication of Central Ohio
Join our community for our Spring Conference to discover the benefits of expressing yourself honestly and authentically, even when the stakes are high (and your fears are the greatest!).
While approaching difficult conversations is something that many people shy away from, we will explore how to prepare yourself for scary conversations, how to initiate them, and how to stay with them long enough to experience a magical shift.
People who participate in this conference will learn the basics of speaking authentically, listening to others with empathy, and developing more self-compassion.
This event is open to everyone, regardless of your experience level. There will be a Beginner and Intermediate Track running throughout the event to support people at all stages of their learning of Compassionate Communication.
Friday: 6 pm - 9 pm & Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm
This training will benefit people who:
- Experience anxiety about communicating their needs and desires to others.
- Want to create and maintain meaningful relationships.
- Feel frustration dealing with difficult people in their lives.
- Want to move beyond power struggles to cooperation and trust.
- Give up or give in on their needs and defer to the wishes of others (and then end up resenting it).
- And are up doing things for other people and want to honor their own needs more consistently.
--
Everyone is welcome at this training. We will have two tracks to support people at all stages of their learning of Compassionate Communication: Beginner and Intermediate.
People who attend this training will:
- Learn how to speak authentically, in a way that generates connection.
- Remain centered and empowered when people speak aggressively.
- Discover how honest, caring self-expression leads to intimacy.
- Gain awareness of the consequences of withholding or withdrawing.
- Learn the art of initiating and navigating difficult conversations more gracefully.
