Music and Romance

Presented by Otterbein MEISA

The magical atmosphere of this unique and romantic event is sure to send sparks flying between you and your sweetheart this Valentine's Day. This year's event will feature the superb music of Otterbein University's vocal and instrumental jazz ensembles, a spacious dance floor, and delicious gourmet desserts by Catering By Design.

Featured musical groups include vocal ensemble Opus One and various soloists performing classic jazz standards. Featured instrumental groups performing include the Otterbein University Big Band led by Jay Miglia, and jazz combos coached by Columbus Jazz Orchestra bassist Chris Berg and local professional guitarist Karl Wohlwend. In addition, The Anticipations, led by Otterbein MEISA advisor Eric Van Wagner, will perform a set of classic dance hits.

The event will include a silent auction with items from Columbus' finest vendors. Fun cocktail attire and dancing are encouraged. A cash bar will be available at the event, equipped with the finest beer, wine, and spirits.

Music and Romance is an educational fundraising event sponsored and organized by the students of Otterbein MEISA. All ticket revenues will be used to help defer the costs of bringing in guest speakers, guest artists, and clinicians; and to cover the cost of educational resources, administrative expenses, and international conference opportunities for Otterbein music and business students.
