Known for his combative and confrontational persona both onstage and off, Memphis-based garage punk maverick Jay Reatard (Jimmy Lee Lindsey) died tragically at the age of 29 just when his life seemed to be coming together. Combining interviews with friends and family members as well as rare performance footage dating from his teen years, "Better Than Something" is an unforgettable portrait of an almost-legendary musician done in by personal demons.
