Serge Bromberg Introduces "The Extraordinary Voyage" and "A Trip to the Moon"

Archivist and filmmaker Serge Bromberg returns to the Wexner Center to introduce his painstaking restoration of "A Trip to the Moon Trip" (a famed short by Georges Méliès, the pioneering French filmmaker celebrated in Martin Scorsese's Hugo) and "The Extraordinary Voyage," Bromberg's film about his decade-long project to restore Trip.

That restoration was one of the most complex restoration efforts ever. "The Extraordinary Voyage" includes interviews with Costa Gavras, Martin Scorsese, Michel Gondry, and others (60 mins, video). "A Trip to the Moon" features a soundtrack by the French group Air. (16 mins, video)
