Thurber House

Thurber House is a non-profit literary center and the former home of American humorist, author, and New Yorker cartoonist James Thurber. Our programs include writing classes for children, author readings, and special events. We also offer self-guided and guided tours of our historic location.

Hours

Administrative offices: M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Public tours are offered from 1-4 p.m. daily. Tours are self-guided Monday through Saturday and guided on Sunday. Open to the public seven days a week from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
