Columbus Art Walks
Columbus Art Walks are a unique way to get active while seeing great public art, architectural and historical sites around Columbus. These plotted paths can provide entertainment for art buffs, educational lessons for students, and visual distractions for those trying to keep active in the colder months.
Walking is a great way to keep your body at a healthy weight. In fact, physical activity is key to preventing obesity, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and even some cancers. The US Surgeon General recommends 60 minutes of physical activity for children and 30 minutes for adults each day.
Columbus Art Walks are self-guided walking maps and audio tours of 9 districts in Columbus. Maps of each district direct you to sites while recorded messages tell you about each one. Art Walks are available or planned for the following districts: Discovery District, Arena District, Ohio Statehouse District, University District, Short North Arts District, German Village, Franklinton, Near East Side, and Clintonville. Visit the Columbus Art Walks website to download maps and audio tours! Check listings for periodic Columbus Art Walk events in each district.
